Our History
In March 1896 German immigrants organized the " German American Baptist Church" of Beaver Township. They purchased a small school building and converted it to a place of worship with a seating capacity of 60. In May 1955 the church voted to relocate to the Auburn area so they could "reach more souls for Christ". In May of 1956 they broke ground at their new location on Garfield road in Auburn. On April 14th 1957 they held their first service in the new building. Membership was 118. In this located they invested in two additions to the original building one an educational wing and an activities building. First Baptist Church in Auburn has been more than just a church the last 140 years. It has been family and has touched many lives with love and compassion.
